You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting Industrial projects in the nation. While also working with our Engineering and Construction field team members, to deliver on project success. Responsibilities
• Serve as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise and resolving issues through design and installation recommendations.
• Maintain client/owner relationships through regular communication, follow up, feedback gathering, and cross-selling Interstates’ offers during and outside active projects.
• Lead project pursuit and effectively delegate proposal efforts to others as needed.
• Lead design team to complete large projects through effective delegation of responsibilities.
• Complete multi-disciplinary projects from initial concept through design, construction, startup, and commissioning.
• Provide technical oversight in all areas of electrical design and installation including, but not limited to, Controls, Heat Trace, Instrumentation, and Power design.
• Proactively identify project and technical risks early and derive solutions by understanding key project levers and drivers.
• Providing technical leadership for the project through regular mentorship of team members
• Review client specifications and make recommendations to ensure submittal packages are in compliance.
Qualifications
Education/Licensure:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another ABET accredited engineering program in a similar field
• In addition to formal education and experience, the Senior Field Engineer is typically a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or holds equivalent certification from at least one governing authority. This licensure signifies advanced technical expertise and adherence to industry standards, and it enables the engineer to take on leadership roles in large, complex projects.
Experience:
• The role requires a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the field, though a combination of education and practical experience may also be considered
Travel:
This position is part of our Omaha Regional Office and can require travel within a 75-mile radius of our office.
