Medium Voltage Drives Service CoE Manager
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will analyze, modify, and design equipment, systems, and installations, creating detailed specifications and documentation to support manufacturing, fabrication, and installation. As part of the Motion Service team in the Center of Expertise for Medium Voltage Drives Services, you will take over products from System Drives into our portfolio while developing, deploying, and maintaining new modernization solutions for our installed base. Your focus will be on driving innovation and creating solutions that add value to our medium voltage converter offerings. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid This role contributes to the success of the Motion Service business area in the medium voltage drives segment, with key stakeholders including the Center of Expertise team, manufacturing units, and customers relying on modernization solutions for their installed base of medium voltage converters. You will be mainly accountable for: • Delivering innovative solutions based on product specifications through close collaboration with product management and manufacturing teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs. • Creating customized and reusable designs as a lead designer, prioritizing quality and timely delivery while adhering to updated standards and project requirements. • Developing conceptual designs into fully realized products with detailed engineering documentation, conducting design reviews, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance processes and regulatory standards. • Managing project deliverables, including creating work plans, cost estimates, and performing risk assessments, while reporting issues and proposing actionable recommendations to management. • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, such as mechanical engineering, supply chain, and product management, to review vendor proposals, provide technical guidance, and ensure seamless product development and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• You hold a degree in electrical engineering or a related field and have several years of experience in electrical engineering and product development, specializing in control hardware for upgrade product development.
• You are highly skilled in working with ECSCAD and/or EPLAN, SAP, and electrical engineering methodologies, with a focus on the medium voltage drives market.
• You possess advanced skills in reading, understanding, and designing electrical schematics, with a strong understanding of medium voltage systems and ACS drives.
• You are adept at stakeholder management, with strong networking capabilities and excellent communication skills, enabling you to establish and maintain relationships with all relevant functions to drive project progress.
• You are passionate about innovation, creativity, and attention to detail, bringing a collaborative, solution-oriented approach and a hands-on mentality to your work.
• You are at ease in communicating in English and/or German. Other languages are an asset.
