SENIOR COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

Location:
Qatar

Qualification:

• B.Sc. or B.E. in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
• Extensive commissioning experience in Oil & Gas projects
• Strong construction management, communication, and conflict resolution skills

Experience:

• 12 to 14 years in construction, installation, and commissioning within the oil & gas industry
• Multi-discipline engineering exposure with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Offshore project experience highly preferred
• Proven track record in commissioning of Fire & Gas (F&G) Systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Integrated Control Systems (ICS), Power Management, Instrument Air, Wellhead Control Systems, etc.

Skills:

• Proficient in commissioning software such as ICAPS or equivalents
• Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities
• Effective communication skills in multi-disciplinary and multicultural environments

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent as Commissioning Team Leader on offshore projects
• Review and provide input on EPIC contractor Scope of Work for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
• Lead commissioning and start-up support services to ensure compliance with procedures and industry best practices
• Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans, procedures, and handover checklists in coordination with project teams and contractors
• Coordinate manpower resources for commissioning activities and ensure timely execution as per project schedules
• Collaborate closely with construction teams, end users, and contractors to manage punch listing, problem resolution, and commissioning close-out
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and safety design reviews
• Support project close-out activities and multi-disciplinary engineering deliverables review
• Coordinate vendor presence, training, and site visits during commissioning phases
• Manage frequent long working hours and outdoor field activities as required
