We’re looking for anAutomation Engineer – Drives & Controlsto join a high-performing team focused on modernizing and supporting drive and control systems for web converting equipment. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in PLC/HMI programming and drive system integration — especially in retrofit or legacy environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop robust PLC programs using ladder logic, function block diagrams, and flowcharts
• Design and deploy HMI applications tailored to web converting systems
• Configure and troubleshoot PLC network architectures
• Integrate and support AC/DC drive systems — including legacy hardware
• Conduct in-house system/software testing and validation
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for installations and commissioning
• Collaborate with sales on system evaluations and contribute to technical proposals and documentation
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, service, and operations teams
• Contribute to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and EHS&S compliance initiatives

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in automation or controls engineering
• Strong programming experience withAllen-Bradleyand/orSiemens PLCs
• Hands-on expertise withAC/DC drive systems,AutoCAD, and supervisory controls
• Solid understanding ofindustrial control networks
• Bonus: Experience withweb handling or converting equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Proficiency with:Windows OS & Microsoft OfficeLadder LogicFunction Block ProgrammingHMI ConfigurationDrive interface & programming tools
