Job Summary:

Responsible for the design, configuring, startup, testing, and commissioning of SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems to control water and wastewater processes.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

• Setup and configure SCADA hardware and software
• Perform factory functional testing of programmed control systems, HMI, and SCADA
• Develop engineered solutions and implements solutions to resolve customer issues
• Modify PLC and HMI applications in the field
• Writes own trip reports and provides daily work reports
• Train customers on how to operate Tesco products; perform in-house simulations
• Implement standard engineering practices
• Document and track progress of project and report any issues to department manager
• Troubleshoots control system control problems; implements software and hardware solutions to resolve problems
• Understand and assess client problems and determine appropriate means of solution
• Interface effectively with other staff on multi-disciplinary projects
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience:

• Associates degree in related field and at least 1 to 5 years of related experience or
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Computer Engineering
• Experience with Visual Basic and Microsoft SQL Server

Skills/ Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of current computer technology and TCP/ IP configurations
• Strong knowledge of SCADA software packages such as Wonderware, Wonderware System Platform, Ignition, Clear SCADA, VTSCADA, etc.
• Strong understanding of networking essentials and Microsoft Operating Systems
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and network components
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person’s qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.
