YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks:

– Sales Handover

• Attend project handover meeting, review all technical documents and clarify all deviations.

• Identify risks and opportunities.
– Basic Engineering

• Acquires initial data from stakeholders.

• Prepare project engineering document list and submitting schedule plan together with Project Technical Manager or Project Manager.

• Prepare engineering templates / references.

• Prepare / Attend external kickoff meeting, prepare question list to meeting and finalize the meeting minutes / action list.

• Attend basic technical review, follow up action list.
– Detailed Engineering

• Monitors the compliance of the engineering processes to operating procedures e.g. classification society’s rules and other standards.

• Guides design works and design changes (Project Manager takes responsibility if the change is requested by Shipyards or Owner, and have impact on schedules or (and) costs)

• Check project documents status and organize documents delivery.

• Answers technical questions from stakeholders.

• Organizes and leads project technical reviews and prepare review reports and action list.

• Follow up design freeze plan and document approval status.
– Test

• Prepare FAT procedures and check list

• Pre-check, pre-test in test lab or factory site, finish internal quality control document

• Attends FAT, support customer during test, organize punches discussing and prepare FAT minutes of meeting

• FAT punches clearance follow-up
– Commissioning

• Prepare as-built updates Participates in kickoff meeting with commissioning team and prepare for technical handover.

• Provides technical support of critical issues for commissioning.

• Prepare final documents and software archive.
– Quality

• Join quality improvement projects.

• Support to engineering templates maintenance

• Project lesson learns sharing

• Quality issue capture from project engineering

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• Requirements:
• – Electrical & Automation (Marine), Bachelor or Above.
• – Marine & Offshore electrical propulsion system knowledge
• – Electrical drive system analysis
• Drive system THD calculation
• AFE converter filter selection
• System resonance evaluation
• – Drive system products knowledge
• Medium voltage frequency converter
• Low voltage frequency converter
• PLC drive control unit hardware / software
• Vessel remote control unit hardware
• – Fluent English communication with customer and colleagues (Oral / Written)
• – Ownership to own area of responsibility
• – “Higher Quality” awareness on daily work
• Additional Information:
• – With Lean 6 Sigma (L6S) basic
