Topsides Project Manager (Brownfield)
Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager on a key client Contract, running one of our 3 mid-sized Topsides brownfield projects from FEED stage to Execute and handover (Q2-2028).  
Reporting directly into the contract manager the candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of the project and should have significant experience in delivery of brownfield projects / modifications and a proven capability of building excellent client relationships.  
The position will be based in our Aberdeen facility (Sir Ian Wood House), with a hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities

Key Job Duties/ Responsibilities:Lead a multi-discipline team (15-20 in FEED phase, 40-50 in execute)P & L responsibility ($40-60m), with associated commercial and financial accountability including revenue delivery, margin and overhead management, budget and forecast determination and attainment, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, accounts payable/billing and cash collectionDeveloping the project proposal and execution plan, with particular emphasis on a fit-for-purpose timeframe, deliverable set and cost for completing the Topsides projectDevelops, governs and negotiates project KPIsWork closely with our contract team to determine the resources required, and pro-actively support recruitment and selection of the right personnelManages changes to project scope/specification with the customer, following our change management process for scope, cost, schedule and qualityPursue and develop opportunities for innovation, such as scope-value challenges, use of workshare, and use of digitalisation and technologyResponsible for delivery of agreed schedule and financial performance, proactively intervening to avoid slippageLeads ongoing focus on risk identification and mitigation during project executionResponsible for the project HSSE leadership, ensuring a program of initiatives and auditing schedule are established and that HSSE and quality management issues are proactively addressedGuides and directs a multidiscipline project team, which may include external specialists and involve staff from multiple offices and sitesResponsible for ensuring project team members are competent to carry out assigned dutiesPromotes and sets up performance improvement culture and actions on complex projects and into their supply chainsCreating a learning environment where we build on best practices and incorporate learnings from previous similar type projectsBuilds Strong working relationships with client, Wood and key suppliers Working RelationshipsPrimary point of contact for customer. Establishes and maintains a positive and effective customer relationship, ensuring payment terms are met, and communicating any delays.Provides the interface and maintains effective relationships with other contributors to the project.Guides and directs project team and functional support teams as required.Interfaces with high value engineering centres (HVEC) as required and manages scope across all offices involved.Interface and coordinate with Contract Management to ensure delivery of operational goals.

Well-versed in qualitative assessment methods and some knowledge of quantitative assessment techniques.Good knowledge and experience in project reporting and forecastingAbility to manage change control process on projects both with our client and across several sub-contractors and interfaces.Good knowledge of commissioning, handover and close-out activities and the capability to set-up a completions led project work breakdown structureUnderstanding of Cash Flow management as well as projection/forecast of cost at completion
