JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for Project Engineer, with a role focused on the effective operational delivery of Data Centre projects for the Digital Buildings Business. (Digital Building monitoring and Controls) , This is a hands-on customer facing position and the successful candidate must work well with a multi-activities team and interface directly with contractors and end-users regularly.The key requirement is to reduce risk, improve operational delivery and ensure the seamless customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct kick off meetings and Lead project meetings on site to discuss project progress.
• Coordinate all phases of projectincluding detailed Engineering, procurement, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site cabling and Installation, Site testing and commissioning.
• Secure Acceptance and approval of materials and documents from contractor/consultant and all stake holders.
• Coordinate, and communicate with Project team, Customer, Subcontractors and vendors on various project activities.
• Track project status reports, project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure successful project close out by consultant inspections, customer training, punch list close out and establishing warranties and finally smooth handover process of project to customer..
• Ensurefull time presence on siteand work under tight project timelines.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all concerned stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Follow up & managecontract negotiationsin cooperation with contract management & sales teams.
• Ensureresourceavailability and allocation.
• Develop a detailed projectPlan/Scheduleto track progress.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to managechangesin project scope, schedule and costs.
• Prepare project financialreportsand present to management.
• Performriskmanagement to minimize project risks.
• Drive newopportunities & Variation ordersduring project execution.
• Create and maintain projectdocumentation.
• Maintaingood relationswith the customer & company staff and to provide their satisfaction while protecting SE’s rights as per contract and as per long term commitment for customer satisfaction.
• To utilize company’s monitoringtools to follow-up and monitorprojects.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Electrical/Computer or Software Engineering
• PMPCertification is Preferable.
• Min.4 yearsrelated work experience , Data Centers Projects Experience is an Advantage , Experience in the Project management of large and critical buildings with sub-contract installation .
• This is a site based role ( Site is located in Abu Dhabi )
• Strong motivation and interest in learning new technologies,
• Multi-language andmulti-culturalworking
• Advanced user of MS Office applications, especially proficiency inMS project,Primavera P6is an Advantage
• Experience with construction sites and working with MEP contractors.
• BMS System knowledgeand understanding of engineering principles.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric, Siemens, Honeywell or otherBMS platforms
• Coordinate internal as well as external resources for the proper execution of projects.
• Ensure that projects are deliveredon-time, within scope and budget as per the contract conditions.
• Excellent command of written & spoken English; Arabic and French are an asset.
• Substation Automation Systems EPMS/BMS solution projects PLC, SCADA, RTU & DCS – Advantage)
• Good user of SAP/ERPs
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications.
• Effective communications skills
• Well organized, result oriented, pro-active & a good team player.
• UAE Driving License is Mandatory -Availability is an advantage
• Willing to travelwithin Country and Outside Countryfor mid to long term project assignments
