Project Overview:

The Infrastructure GBU’s Renewables & Clean Power business line is pursuing multiple renewables power plant projects in the United States. The position may start on short-term assignment in Reston, VA. Upon successful award of a project, the candidate would mobilize to the project site.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data. You will perform schedule development tasks, monitoring, reporting, analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable the team to optimize scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project targets and objectives.#LI-ML1

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of schedule data
• Assists in schedule baseline preparation and initial project setup
• Establishes and maintains the schedule for specific disciplines, commodities, areas and/or specialties
• Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
• Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
• Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
• Identifies and reports on activities that are on the critical path, as well as activities that are on near-critical paths
• Reviews, validates, integrates, and monitors subcontractor schedules
• Assists with schedule recovery plans

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in engineering, construction management, business or related field and 2 – 5 years of relevant experience or 6 – 9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated skill in presenting scheduling information
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office 365 software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes, as performed by Bechtel
• Ability to take initiative in project related tasks and coordination with various stakeholders
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to ensure effective project delivery
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team atmosphere
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems
