Job Description

The Project Controls Associate will support the planning and controls team by performing foundational tasks related to scheduling, reporting, and data management. The role involves preparing technical reports, maintaining planning systems, and assisting with project performance tracking, all under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and format technical reports, schedules, and dashboards using standard templates.
• Assist in generating project status updates, charts, and visual presentations using Microsoft Office.
• Ensure all reports are accurate, clearly structured, and professionally presented.
• Learn and apply basic project scheduling principles using tools such as MS Office, PowerBi, Primavera P6, or MS Project.
• Support schedule updates, data entry, and report generation.
• Maintain and organise planning registers and logs.
• Collect and organise data for progress and performance reporting.
• Assist with tracking physical progress of construction activities.
• Develop skills in project controls software and contribute to the improvement of reporting formats.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline; or
• Technical diploma in Planning, Finance, or a relevant field.

Experience:

• Degree holders: 0 to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Diploma holders: 2 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (including charts and pivot tables), and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of document control systems such as SharePoint.
• Familiarity with PowerBi and Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling tools) is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and well-structured working methods.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data professionally.
• Eagerness to learn project planning, scheduling, and performance measurement.
• Motivated to build a long-term career in project controls.
