Engineering Manager
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understanding customer needs – being responsible for the electrical and software design – testing and commissioning globally. That’s the kind of task and challenges you like to have? You will be part of an international project & commissioning team providing control systems for high power rectifiers to our clients in the Aluminium, Arc Furnace and Chemical industry. We are looking for candidates who are able to apply their academic background in the area of power electronic control systems complemented by practical experience. Are you flexible and willing to travel on various commissioning assignments all over the world? The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Develop and engineer tailored industrial systems, including electrical schematics, customer-specific software (PLC), and system testing, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations. • Manage technical and commercial aspects of high-power rectifier systems (up to 100 kA/2000 V), including detailed engineering, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance worldwide. • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to verify technical solutions, address issues, and conduct customer training. • Contribute to new product development projects and support innovation initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• A degree in Electrical Engineering
• Sound knowledge in E-CAD and PLC programming as well as high affinity with IT (HW, SW and protocols)
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Fluency in English, German and any additional language is an asset
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%)
