Production Engineer (3rd Shift)

Production engineers are responsible for improving production at the factory level. They support production teams and engineering teams, report issues to the supervisor/manager, and develop strategies to improve efficiency. This position is very hands-on and relied upon to make critical decisions based on knowledge and experience.
The Production Engineer will be expected to support the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe and efficient manner. This position will be a liaison for manufacturing engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
This position will work closely in assisting Job Setters and Supervisors in diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.
SHIFTS: 3rd: 11pm – 7am
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
• Establish safety procedures and protocols that take the workers’ well-being into account and minimize the carbon footprint
• Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production and the ability to share knowledge with co-workers
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices
• Scheduling meetings with relevant departments and team members
• Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
• Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) or 8 years in machine setup and/or machining process
• Experience with any 3D CAD software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Superb written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
• Great attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
• 10+ years in the field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial)
• G&M Code/Programming
• Experience in SolidWorks
• Experience in MasterCAM
