ANDRITZ is seeking a dynamic Process Design Engineer to support our entry into the P2X market. In this role you will be responsible to design plant concepts for our green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions.
We are looking for a professional with wealthy experience in process engineering. Your deep understanding of designing plant solutions will play a crucial role for the success of our projects. This exciting opportunity is based in Vienna.

In your role, you will
• Develop innovative concepts for modularization and standardization together with the technology development team
• Optimize the integration with adjacent processes such as power supply, CO2 capture and e-fuel production
• Work closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical and automation at the proposal and engineering phase
• Prepare mass- and energy balance calculations and related process flow diagrams (PFD)
• Prepare media consumption figures for utilities (e.g. electricity, water, chemicals, etc.) and collect defined required media qualities
• Collect and provide emission data for e.g. effluent, heat, noise, gas, etc.
• Provide calculation and sizing of electrolysis sub-systems (e.g. water purification) and components (e.g. hydrogen and oxygen purification and compression)
• Specify and co-select sub-supplied equipment
• Provide plant process and interlock descriptions
• Review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) over the full project lifecycle
• Optimize system solutions by reviewing static and dynamic mass- and energy balance results
• Align and improve control strategies and maintenance philosophies
• Participate HAZOP and LOPA studies
• Prepare and manage equipment and component lists
• Take the responsibility to coordinate with all stakeholders
• Clarify, discuss and present the technical solution towards the customer
• Support the function description preparation.
• Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization team
In your personal skillset you have
• Degree level qualification in a process, chemical, automation or mechanical engineering discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience as process engineer, experience within the petrochemical industry is a plus.
• Knowledge about process simulation programs.
• Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is expected.
• Explain design solutions in an engaging manner
• Strong communication, analytical and planning skills
• Solution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act pro-actively
• Fluent in English. Another european language is an advantage
• Willingness to travel for at least 5 days per month

In Austria we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of € 4.066,84 per month for this position.
Depending on qualifications and professional experience we offer you a market-based salary
