Project Overview:

Driftwood LNG LLC is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover. Your work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. Duties include interpreting piping design drawings and specifications for execution of piping works, such as installation, welding, hydrotesting, supports, field verification of materials, and aiding field piping personnel as required.#LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to the piping/mechanical discipline.
• Responsible for quantity take-off, control, tracking, reporting and forecasting for the piping discipline.
• Specify the mechanical criteria for construction of temporary construction facilities as required.
• Direct the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services and equipment such as testing materials, piping, flanges, blinds, gaskets, etc..
• Review material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
• Implement and support the mechanical/piping construction quality program.
• Coordinate with Field Supervision and Subcontractors to plan/support construction schedules.
• Plan and recommend piping procedures to be implemented by Field Supervision to ensure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontract activities to ensure piping materials, equipment and quality comply with design plans and specifications.
• Follow up and ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials and equipment
• Administer major subcontract changes regarding the piping discipline and represent the company in major contractual discussions and negotiations.
• Perform other duties as required by Bechtel management.
• Validate, track and submit construction quantities for Quantity Unit Rate Report (QURR) tracking.
• Interface with Project Controls for submittal of quantities

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Technical knowledge of construction surveying, piping, hydrotesting, and welding.
• Experience with the piping discipline such as PCCP, HDPE, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Alloy piping.
• Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
• Demonstrated commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
• Must be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet and Bechtel database applications.
• Must be familiar with current industry quality standards.
• Basic ability to utilize the TeamWorks automation suite as the Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
• Knowledge of Project Technical Requests (PTR) for routing and resolving Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Change Documents (FCDs), and Non Conformance/Compliance Reports (NCRs) between project sites, contractors, clients, and home office.
• Knowledge of work packaging.
• Basic understanding of production management including scheduling.
• Sound communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of cost management including estimating and forecast development.
• Direct hire construction experience
