OFFSHORE FACILITIES ENGINEER

As a Facilities Engineer you are the technical focal point onboard for all production related matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support to the production superintendent, offshore production team and onshore teams including the System Owner for day-to-day operations.

Responsible for daily surveillance of the processes to ensure safe and steady operation and proactively identifying and resolving, as necessary, process anomalies with support from the Onshore Operations Team

Support process optimization, plant trials, MoCs, reporting and troubleshooting activities ensuring safe, steady, and continuous production.

Provides technical support to maximise the uptime key performance bonus under the contract.

Ensure that the production/process capability on the Unit(s) is maintained at the highest practical level, and that any production/process downtime is minimized.

Provide support for the optimization of surveillance and monitoring tools (SEEQ, PI Vision) and processes.

Develop ad-hoc required technical documentation e.g., P&ID mark-ups, temporary procedures, technical notes etc ensuring production procedures are up to date and relevant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• University degree, BSc or MSc in Chemical or Process Engineering.

• Minimum 10 years in Upstream/Downstream Process design Offshore FPSO experience will be a plus.

• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Requirements

• Detailed Process Design knowledge including use of conventional process design tools.

• Fluent spoken and written English.

• Ability to quickly assess and prioritize activities with flexibility and strong organization skills.

• Good interpersonal communication skills and strong commitment to a team culture.

Personal:
Conscientious, flexible, versatile and determined. Capable of assertive and positive communication and performance.

Leadership: Exemplary safety and managerial leadership skills. Good levels of written and spoken communication in English language.

Clear understanding of behavioural and logistical personnel issues. Capable of motivating Head of Departments and Technicians. Flexible in applying different approaches to changing work demands.

Technical: Appropriate standard of technical, legal and professional knowledge as defined by competences.

IT:
Practical familiarity with standard ‘Office’ software package. Operation and use of Internet and electronic mail system
