The Emerson Test & Measurement Transportation Business Unit Systems R&D team has an opening for a Mid-level Software Engineer! In this role, you will work in the design and development of systems from concept to release, contributing as a member of the development team while learning about the transportation domain and building your skills.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Develop and validate system software features that fulfil customer requirements
• Interact with the team to support the design and development of new systems and features
• Ability to learn and improve your skills with the help of your mentor and teammates.

For This Role, You Will Need:
• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in software and systems development
• Experience using high-level programming languages (C#/C++, LabVIEW)
• Understanding of systems design, development and testing principles
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• Proven experience in software development and systems development, such us C++/C# and LabView.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience working with integrated hardware and software systems.
• Understanding of the transportation industry, such as vehicle bus architectures
• Experience in development of integrated hardware and software projects
• Experience with NI products, including LabVIEW, VeriStand and TestStand
