JOB SUMMARY:
TheLead Repair Development Engineerwill spearhead the development and industrialization of both conventional and non-conventional machining processes for industrial gas turbine component repairs. As a key member of theAdvanced Machining team within AMRT, this role ensures high-quality, cost-effective, and scalable machining technologies across the global services network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead identification, development, and industrialization ofmilling,grinding,fast hole EDM, andsinker EDMprocesses.
• Drivehands-on repair process development, partnering with global centers forqualification and implementation.
• Providetechnical mentorshipand guidance to engineers and specialists across repair centers.
• Ensure machining and tooling processes meet technical specifications and productivity KPIs.
• SupportNew Product Introduction (NPI)andproductivity initiativesacross Commercial Services and Transactional markets.
• ApplyLean manufacturingprinciples to increase process reliability, reduce costs, and expand capacity.
• Oversee schedules and communicate milestones and updates across business units.
• Lead efforts inequipment upgrades, from evaluation to post-installation validation.
• Conductcost-benefit analyseson equipment or process changes.
• Ensure accuratetechnical documentationand compliance with engineering protocols.
• Mentor junior engineersand help build internal competencies across the repair network.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years’ experiencein machining process development in a manufacturing or repair environment.
• Strong expertise inCAD/CAM, with ability to translate 3D models into effective machining programs.
• Proficient inGeometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Provenproject management experienceand capability to leadhands-on process trials.
• Excellentanalytical,problem-solving, anddocumentationskills.
• Effective team collaborator with strong communication capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to10%of the time.
• Desirable:Prior experience with industrial gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, or aero engines.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• Annual Wage Supplement (AWS)– Paid in December
• Variable Bonus (VB)– Paid in April (historically 1.6 months based on performance, not guaranteed)
• Annual salary increment– Based on individual performance (first review after 1 year)
• Company transport provided:– Morning pick-up from designated Singapore locations– Evening drop-off to major MRT stations
