Job Description

Wood is currently looking for a Lead Project Engineer to join our team in Sharjah, UAE.

Responsibilities

Provide client with an excellent service, by delivering the projects in a safe manner to the agreed schedule dates and within approved budgets
In depth focus on MR’s and TBE’s – analysing, reporting, attending relevant meetings
Work closely with assets and work pack teams to identify opportunities to release drawings with holds and split work packs
Delivery of individual, Project Performance with respect to Procurement, Schedule, Cost, Safety and Quality to meet asset operational needs
Arrange and participate in all project safety, design and constructability reviews
Provide assistance in timely resolution of site queries
Zero defect tolerance
Strict adherence to Project Procedures usage
Establishing Work Orders WBS Structure and alignment of proposals & CTR development with an emphasis on scope development
Project delivery to agreed schedule dates
Preparation of Weekly Project Dashboards
To drive interface management, liaising with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
Promote safe behaviour at all times
Work Order Proposal preparation, including scope and deliverable definition
Base line schedule preparation, Work Order Kick Off, Change Control within work orders, Risk Management within work orders, Work Order reporting, Budget Control of work orders and Accurate reporting against active work orders
Schedule Management
Daily Relationship Management and interface with client PE and other stakeholders
Be proactive in safety behaviors and leadership
Work Order Proposal – development of delivery strategy, WBS and review of the completed CTR’s
Schedule approval – work with planning team to produce a base line schedule for client approval
Work Order Kick Off meetings – prepare for and manage the kick off meetings in accordance with project procedures
Change Management – Ensure any potential changes and variations are managed in a timely manner with the clients approval and to the approved process
Risk Management – all associated risk are to be identified, assessed and registered with appropriate mitigation measures identified

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with minimum 5 years similar experience
Degree qualification in an Engineering discipline
Previous experience in upstream oil and gas (Brownfield and Greenfield)
Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
Experience of a leadership role in Project Coordination with the ability to manage a team
Good Oral and Communication skills
Must be able to supervise and delegate
Must have good interpersonal skills / team player
