Senior Engineering Manager

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Handling of customer projects and modernization projects within the cement industry. • Planning and commissioning of automation solutions and process control technology. • Coaching project engineers and designers in a global team on the translation of conceptual designs and modernization concepts to engineering as well as finding technical solutions and achieve improvements . • Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects. • Collaborating on project planning, installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify engineering errors. • Carrying out preliminary tests of hardware and software as well as testing and commissioning software in-house and at the customer site • Supporting sales and project management with your technical expertise in project planning and discussions with customers, partners and service providers. • Assisting in the preparation of work plans and estimates for works, conducting risk and opportunity assessments during commissioning, reporting on potential risks and solutions relevant to your technical discipline You’ll be joining an exceptional team where you’ll be empowered to achieve your best.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• You are highly skilled in electrical engineering and commissioning in the field of automation and process control technology.
• Ability to demonstrate your experience as a technical lead working with engineering techniques, processes and tools particularly in the process industry.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of automation and process control systems, such as 800xA, IEC 61131(-3) standard and creation and adaption of process visualizations in OT networks
• Have advanced skills in planning and programming interfaces to drive and customer systems
• Basic knowledge of IP-based networks and Windows administration
• You have a high degree of self-motivation, curiosity and the desire to familiarize yourself with new technologies.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, are specialied in automation or have an equivalent/higher degree
• A collaborative, solution-oriented approach and good written and spoken communication skills in English and German
• Strong focus on safe working practices and compliance with all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• General willingness to travel
