Wood is currently recruiting a Lead Control Systems Engineer with relevant design expertise in Oil & Gas projects to join our APAC Systems Integration team in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne or Darwin. 
Our Systems Integration team is a part of the Digital Consulting business, and supports a broad range of clients, at various project phases. Typically, we would be involved for early phase studies to shape the solution, and progress through to design, execution, testing and site commissioning.

This position reports to the Business Manager Energy within Systems Integration and is an immediate requirement. Our ideal candidate will have strong capabilities in a customer facing role and enthusiasm for contributing to team experience and growth. 
You will become part of a team focused on delivering solutions for our clients in the wider APAC region.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities 
You will be contributing to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:

Engage in all phases of automation projects, front-end engineering through detailed design, procurement, configuration, implementation, startup, and commissioning in areas such as DCS Configuration, SCADA, HMI, SIS/FGS PLC programming and interfacing, architecture and networking, and specification development
Participate in Automation Engineering projects for the design and implementation of automation systems for oil & gas and process industry projects
Attend and support site surveys, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT’s), Site Acceptance Test (SAT’s) and commissioning activities for delivered systems
Review, comment, and provide input on the project schedule and project cost estimate
Support procurement with vendors lists development, requisition development, technical bid tabulations and clarifications, purchase recommendations, monitor progress and maintain communications with vendors as required

Ideally you:

Will be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood
Have experience in control systems integration with an operating company, systems vendor or engineering services provider for onshore or offshore oil & gas / energy industry projects 
Have a background and hands-on experience with systems platforms, operating systems and the interactions between systems, system hardware and architecture 
Are experienced in implementation and design of Honeywell Experion PKS DCS (preferred). Experience in the following vendor systems will also be considered: Yokogawa Centum VP, Siemens PCS7 or ABB 800xA
Are experienced in implementation and design of PLC systems is highly desirable, including Rockwell ControlLogix or Siemens Simatic 
Have ownership of automation related deliverables, like I/O schedule, network topology, Automation Standards, Functional Specifications, Detailed Design Specifications, and test procedures
