Job Description:

IT System Administrators are responsible for the implementation and technical support of the Enterprise’s serverinfrastructure.This includes but is not limited to the support of Windows Server OS, VMWare ESX, Office 365, Azure and storage systems. IT Systems Administrators will use tools such as vCenter, SolarWinds, Active Directory administration tools, and PowerShell to manage the environments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Responsible for the day-to-day support of server operating systems and related software and hardware.
• Troubleshoots application and operating system problems.
• Document system configurations, and operational procedures to ensure standardized operating procedures and processes.
• Documents system process flows and identifies areas of potential optimization
• Provides Level 2 support to the IT Service Desk team to resolve user and systems issues.
• Responsible for administration and support of on-premises Exchange as well as Exchange Online tenant including troubleshooting mail flow issues.
• Technical lead on email and domain migration projects for new acquisitions
• Responsible for configuring alerts and reports in SolarWinds and other monitoring tools.
• Installs, configures, and decommissions servers following Server Lifecycle Provisioning processes. Schedules Server OS refreshes and upgrades.
• Evaluate system specifications and requirements to ensure hardware and software compatibility and security standards.
• Support license servers for 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software applications.
• Assist local site and networking team with physical layer troubleshooting
• Work with security team to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities reported by security tools managed and maintained by the IT Security team.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

• Critical thinking and decision-making skills are required.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills required
• Experience supporting and maintaining Windows Server and hypervisor technologies.
• Experience supporting and maintaining Windows and Azure Active Directory
• Proficient in cloud technologies such as Azure and/or AWS
• Ability to work independently
• Onsite 5 days a week

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• 3 – 5 years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator or equivalent

Supervisory/Responsibility:

• Reports to the Global IT Server Administration Leader

Work Environment:

This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee’s essential job duties may also require the employee to spend a portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.

Travel:

Occasional domestic and/or global travel may be required for this position.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of the those performed in the jobduties. Theemployee sits at a desk and uses a computer for prolonged periods oftime. Performingthe role frequently uses close vision, speech, hearing,and dexterity tooperate officeequipment. Theemployee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15pounds.
