• Nuclear Safety Culture:Embrace GNF’s nuclear safety culture, prioritizing integrity, safety, and quality in all tasks.
• Instrumentation Calibration & Maintenance:Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of instrumentation, including pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, heater controls, control valves, pH analyzers, HF detectors, and scales. Ensure accurate and reliable operation of these instruments to support process control.
• DCS System Management:Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the Distributed Control System (DCS).Develop and modify DCS code as needed to improve system functionality.Collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure seamless integration of DCS controls.
• PLC Programming & Troubleshooting:Troubleshoot PLC logic and hardware issues efficiently to minimize downtime.Write and modify PLC code to support process improvements and equipment upgrades.Maintain and service PLC hardware, including I/O modules, power supplies, and network communication systems.
• Test Equipment Utilization:Use a variety of test equipment, such as pressure gauges, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and process calibrators to diagnose and calibrate instrumentation systems.
• Technical Documentation & Interpretation:Read and interpret complex P&ID diagrams, mechanical schematics, electrical power diagrams, ladder logic, and instrument loop drawings.Suggest calibration and preventive maintenance methods when vendor guidelines are inadequate.Document modifications and updates to control systems, including “as-built” drawings and comprehensive sketches.
• CMMS Documentation & Compliance:Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document, update, and close work orders accurately.Enter calibration data and maintenance activities into the CMMS to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.Maintain thorough records of instrumentation calibrations, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
