We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Instrument Fitters to join our team in Port Moresby in PNG.

The Role
This role is responsible for assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs instruments and control systems that measure, indicate, transmit, record, and control processes.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Understand and work to Permit System
Ensure all JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis) are reviewed and understood, and all associated paperwork is satisfactorily completed to permit and PSN Quality Assurance requirements.
Maintain good conduct and work harmoniously with other employees using fundamental interpersonal skills required of the work setting
Plan all work taking into account changing conditions and to report progress accurately.
Read and understand detailed drawings including P&ID’s or specifications to plan and complete the task and ascertain the materials and equipment required
Installing and modifying instruments and instrumentation used in measurement and control systems including, indicators, recorders, controllers, transmitters and integrators for measurements such as temperature, pressure, pH value, flow rate, liquid level, etc
Bending and installing instrument tubes and cables

Qualifications

What makes you remarkable?

An Instrument Fitter who holds a trade qualification (plumber, fitter and turner, mechanical fitter or motor mechanic and other recognized trade training)
3 years’ experience as a Fitter
5-year oil and gas experience
Has demonstrated ability to work independently on remote platforms
Previous experience working in PNG will be viewed advantageously
