Job Description

Wood HVAC Electrical Technicians to join our team in LNGP, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea on a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on 4 weeks off, 12 hours per day.
Reporting to the HVAC Electrical Lead/foreperson, this role is responsible for ensuring HVAC systems in the plant and associated buildings are maintained in line with the equipment strategies and manufactures recommendations. The HVAC Technician is also responsible for complete system maintenance and assisting in all associated electrical units.

Responsibilities

Engage in all safe work practices involving HVAC system maintenance to ensure Wood and Clients initiatives are adhered to.Fully implements the collaborative tools that Wood, and Client use to achieve an accident-free workplace (PSMS, JSA, LMRA, PTB, Procedures and Processes)Fully competent knowledge of HVAC principles and multi-manufacturer and types of HVACParticipates in daily toolbox talks and ensures compliance with Wood and Clients Work Management processes.Recommends plant site work execution preparation steps to ensure flawless maintenance of HVAC systems.Inventory Management for all HVAC systems.Aid in monitoring maintenance activities to ensure the security and safety of all worksite personnel by providing safe and reliable HVAC operations.Local housekeeping, waste management

Qualifications

Technical Skills / Qualifications3-5 years minimum experience in HVAC (domestic and industrial)Trained and certified PNG / Australian standardsIn training for Electrical accreditationIn training for PLC and Pressurization unitsHVAC Certification accreditationCompetencies, Core Values, BehavioursAbility to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive and confidential information.Works well with minimum supervision.High level verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce excellent staff work.Ability to interact effectively with management and external parties.Able to work effectively within Wood and client’s safety and controls environment.Able to multi-task and deal with a high volume of work and many competing tasksInitiative and enthusiasm to solve problems and deliver results.Strong administrative coordination and prioritization abilitiesAble to maintain high standards and volume output in high pressure situations.Candidates must have full work rights in PNG to be considered for this role.If you are an experienced HVAC Electrical Technician, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today.Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity
