Job Description
You will manage a team (3-5 engineers) of engineers in Electrical & Electronics Design in Sustenance Engineering for existing production products. You will coach engineers in effort estimations and influence in team to make right decisions to achieve good competitive products. You will report to Hardware Engineering Manager.
We will collaborate with Business and Product Management teams in product and technology road-mapping, estimating future resource capacity needs and competencies, and identifying what modern technologies would be attained. You will monitor quarterly performances and lead improvement efforts in design capabilities and processes whenever the need arises. You will still do technical activities in parallel with management activities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leading and managing a group of Hardware development and testers:
• Management and people development of the team
• Responsible for the Measurement and target deliverables for the group.
• Responsible for daily management activities like budgeting, project deliverables, workload balance, focus and priorities.
• Technical responsibilities:
• You will ensure the right Hardware architectural design, the right test coverage, the right set of skills, equipment’s, and strategy
• Develop together with the team.
• Participate in reviews for feature requirements and design.
• Tracked project projects and monitored issues/progress.
• Workout challenges together with team
• Tracked qualities and project efficiency.
• Perform analysis and improvement on the existing process/activities.
• You will create complex Sustenance Engineering activities.
• You will guide solution for customer anomalies.
• Handle resiliency for supply chain shortages and keep our product shipping.
• Support/change requests and balancing the available resources.
THE ESSENTIALS – YOU WILL HAVE:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields
• Have minimum 1 – 3 years management or leading experience (with team bigger than 3 people) is required.
• Work in a team or independent and a good people management skill.
• Have minimum 1- 3 years’ experience in Hardware development (on new product development or Sustenance engineering activities)
THE PREFERRED – YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:
• You have comprehensive knowledge of what Sustenance Engineering activities are.
• Have a knowledge and foundation about testing and software design life cycle whether it is in AGILE or Waterfall environment.
• Knowledge or experience with industrial automation and functional safety such as PLC and industrial machine applications especially related to Rockwell products will be advantageous.
• A willingness to experiment within acceptable boundaries and to bring novel solutions into design.
