Who You’ll Work With
As an independent division within Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, Inc., ControlTech Automation (CTA) is a control panel integrator and fabricator for process, packaging, utility, and other industries. CTA is based in St. Louis and specializes in control panels for systems integrators and production facilities located throughout the United States. CTA can provide control solutions for a single piece of equipment, an entire process, or a complete plant. CTA has engineering design capabilities or will build panels from customer-supplied design packages.
When you join ControlTech Automation as a Final Inspection Lead, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Control Systems Integration team and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
What You’ll Do
• We are seeking an experienced Final Inspection/QC Lead to oversee all aspects of final inspection and quality control processes. The Final Inspection Lead will manage the daily operations of the inspection team and ensure all finished products meet quality and compliance standards prior to shipment.
• Lead and supervise the final inspection team in performing inspections and tests on finished products.
• Oversee all inspection processes and procedures. Identify areas for improvement.
• Verify all products are fully assembled, meet specifications, and function properly before shipment.
• Document inspection results, defective units, and punch lists. Communicate issues to manufacturing teams.
• Develop and implement quality control standards, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze inspection data and generate quality control reports.
• Coordinate final inspections with manufacturing, engineering, and customer acceptance teams.
• Provide training to inspection staff on procedures, standards, and equipment/tools.
• Monitor inspection equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Liaise between inspection team and other departments. Communicate quality issues and requirements.
What You’ll Bring
• High school diploma or GED. Associate’s degree in quality management preferred.
• 5+ years in inspection roles including 2+ years in a team lead capacity.
• Expert knowledge of inspection processes, quality control concepts, and product specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
• Proficient with inspection tools and equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
