Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, the Field Service Technician will be responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities
:

• Install and commission new proprietary envelope converting equipment, including travel to customer locations to install and commission new and used proprietary envelope converting machines and performupgrades/adjustments,as necessary, to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Set up and operate machinery to produce the customers’ product, assist the Installation Coordinator with pre/post installation meetings and audits at customer facilities and assess manpower needs.
• Train customers’ personnel and operators on the use of proprietary equipment, technologies and application, including responsibility for training customers’ U.S.-based operating and maintenance staff in order to troubleshoot, maintain and repair envelope converting machines.
• Maintain and perform repairs on customers’ envelope converting equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting services to determine root causes, offer solutions and recommend proactive maintenance steps on specialized equipment and technologies, and communicate with customers and company personnel to explain technical issues and related solutions.
• Serve as the leading expert in the U.S. with the company’s proprietary equipment and address the most complex emergency breakdowns with envelope converting equipment.
• Train and develop equipment knowledge trainings within the U.S. and provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to less experienced personnel, for both the end customer operators and internal peer technicians and engineers within the company.
• Provide technical documentation and provide diagnostic and support services for customer equipment using diagnostic tools, providing technical and practical answers to customer’s questions or problems, and preparing reports of technical findings and solutions.
• Generate internal quality reports, identifying any reoccurring equipment issues and needed corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.

Minimum Requirements
:

• Position requires a High School Diploma or foreign equivalent, and 10 years of experience.
• 10 years of experience in envelope converting machine installation, repairs and training in the paper folding market industry.
• 10 years of experience with flexographic printing.
• 10 years of experience with graphic machine maintenance process techniques.
• 10 years of experience with computer-aided drafting tool AutoCAD.
• 10 years of experience with diagnostic tools, including dial indicators, feeler gauges, voltage/current meters, drum meter, calipers, gauge blocks, alignment tools, and preparing reports of technical findings and solutions.
• Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the continental U.S.
• Position requires 95% domestic travel throughout the U.S., and 5% international travel to Mexico, Canada and Germany, to customer facilities to perform equipment installations and observe the equipment in operation for troubleshooting.
