The Global Services Engineering and Delivery team of Emerson T&M has an immediate opening for a Field Services Engineer. The successful candidate for this position will work with a wide and diverse set of people and resources to ensure customer and project support needs are met. The candidate will primarily work on location at customer sites to perform both proactive and reactive resolutions, troubleshooting of NI test equipment for large scale deployments.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Perform Proactive, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on site at customer facility
• Tracking and driving large system customer escalations to resolution
• Report out to customers and internal management on issues and resolutions
• Provide first-responding technical support for Service Agreement customers
• Provide feedback to the development team regarding system enhancements
• Teaching custom training covering topics that are relevant to a customer’s application
• Provide these services on-site (up to 70% Travel)
• Organization – coordinates activities with others to achieve results and to influence without control

For This Role, You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with a minimum or a master’s degree in STEM with no direct experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build productive relationships in English
• Valid Category B driver’s license
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of test and measurement methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Windows system support, Software installation/troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• Experiences with NI products and Laview programming language.
• Low voltage (electrician) certification
• Experiences with repairing electrical equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to gather and interpret information.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Strong initiative and persistence to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Ability to create processes and procedures when needed to improve efficiency.
