Field Service Manager

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is: onsite. This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Pune region. You will be mainly accountable for: • Person Should be responsible and Accountable in Robotics Field Service • Must be able to travel across India for Service activity – Travel 60-70% • ABB robot experience or similar Industrial Robot experience is required. • Provide robot specific or systems training in an informal environment to customers as required and should have knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) communications and other robotic peripheral equipment. Ability to communicate with customers (external and internal) is high. • Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points. • Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products. • Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. • Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• You are immersed & engaged in Robotics field Service role where you enjoy working with ABB Robots and its technology and the Industrial Robot experience.
• Ability to demonstrate your experience in advanced skills. You have 5 to 8 years of experience in robotics customer Service field
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) communications and other robotic peripheral equipment.
• You are passionate about traveling on short notice and handle rigors of air travel and submit sales leads for additional Robotic and system opportunities.
• Good knowledge in Material Handling, MIG Welding, Spot welding and Palletizing Applications.
• Degree in Diploma/ BE/B.Techs in Electronics/Electrical is preferred.
• You are at ease communicating in Local Language & English.
• You should hold currently India-specific VISA/work permit.
