Students enrolled in mechanical engineering or related studies would be paired with mechanical design engineers to learn and contribute to tasks associated with the mechanical designs and mechanisms for our custom automation solutions for manufacturing processes. This could include 3D model & assembly design in SolidWorks, 2D drawing creation, hardware sizing and specification, analysis for strength and stiffness of components, cost evaluations, design reviews for manufacturability and ease of assembly, cycle time estimating, etc.
Candidates will get the opportunity and are expected to be hands-on in physically building and/or wiring and testing machinery, as this provides excellent reinforcement of theory.
