Engineer – Electronic Hardware

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be a team player working with a cross-functional team including mechanical, hardware and FPGA design, software development and project management to deliver best in class products for the global market. This position will be responsible for design, test and documentation for hardware design used across different product lines.

Essential Responsibilities

• Design for safety, testability, and manufacturability
• Perform electronic component selection and maintain components database
• Schematics capture for hardware designs including processors, FPGA, switch mode power supplies, high speed data interfaces, precision analog acquisition
• Circuit analysis and simulation
• Design for compliance with technical regulation and standards
• Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits
• Support mechanical design, software, test engineering, and manufacturing

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience;
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuit design;
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI teste equipment operation;
• Familiar with PCB design
• Familiarity with electronics lab test equipment and test methods;
• Advanced Portuguese knowledge;
• Advanced English knowledge;
• Knowledge of Altium CAD tool;
• Availability to travel;

Desired characteristics

• Capable of developing in an engineering environment
• Experience with EMC/EMI validation and electrical pre-certification tests
• Experience with Altium EDA tool
• Experience performing circuit analysis using simulation tools (SPICE)
• Design innovative solutions to complex problems
• FPGA design experience
