ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Location: Farnborough
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00

We are working with a well-established industrial facility seeking an experiencedElectrical Technicianto join their site operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, water treatment, nuclear, or related industries.

As a key member of the team, you’ll ensure the reliable and safe operation of electrical and instrumentation equipment across the site. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about maintaining high safety and operational standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Complete routine servicing on process control instrumentation including transmitters, controllers, and analysers.
• Support and/or carry out vendor-specified maintenance activities.
• Ensure all site services and systems are maintained in accordance with safe working practices.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and breakdowns, including offering remote support where possible.
• Carry out housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment.
• Collaborate with other technicians and operational staff, demonstrating a strong working knowledge across electrical, mechanical, and process systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4–5 years’ hands-on maintenance experience with instrumentation and/or electrical equipment.
• Qualified in instrumentation (NVQ Level 3 or completed apprenticeship) with solid electrical knowledge.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Confident in taking responsibility for both routine and non-routine maintenance tasks.
