Job Description

Wood is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer / Consultant to join our Asset Life Optimisation team based centrally in our new office in Brisbane.  This role is offered on a permanent staff basis and reports to the Operations Manager – Integrity Management.

Responsibilities

As our successful candidate you will quickly be involved in providing consulting and engineering solutions, understanding the issues of key clients and responding by delivering improved outcomes while balancing integrity, performance and cost.     

You will be involved in a variety of tasks such as:  

Development of client proposals and scopes of work  
Consulting on Asset Management with specific focus on Safety Integrity Levels for safety instrumented systems 
Development of maintenance strategies using a reliability centred maintenance approach  
Development and update of work instructions and work-packs for Critical Function testing  
Evaluation of asset information to determine hazards, failure modes and risk mitigations (RCM)  
Assessment of failure mode and damage mechanisms of field devices in oil and gas industries  
Utilise spreadsheet and database tools to capture and handle data, identify trends and equipment health concerns 
KPI reporting and performance metric development for system integrity 
Setup and configuration of Integrity Management Database Systems  
Development of client reports to communicate results and recommendations  
Ownership of small projects, managing from start to finish following Wood’s Quality Management System 

Qualifications

At Wood it takes a diverse range of people to achieve the level of impact we are having on the global energy sector.   As a successful member of the team, you will have completed your degree / qualification and able to commence immediately.  We are looking for energetic people who are highly motivated, have a ‘hands on’ approach, organised, proactive and are self-disciplined.   

Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University  
Further qualification in Commerce / Business / Data Analytics or previous commercial exposure would be advantageous 
We will consider engineers with a minimum 4 – 7 years’ experience, with remuneration for this position reflective of experience.

Confident in presentations, have a high level of English literacy coupled with effective report writing skills
