As an Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell Building Automation (BA), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for building control and optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and the delivery of high-quality, energy-efficient solutions. Your technical expertise and innovative mindset will contribute to the advancement of building automation technologies. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of College Park, MD location. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the development and implementation of electrical systems that enhance the safety, energy efficiency, and productivity of buildings. Your contributions will play a crucial role in creating sustainable and comfortable environments for building owners and occupants. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify Building Automation System (BAS) functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements including: testing, calibrating system and peripheral device operations as per preventative maintenance schedule

• Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, overrides, etc.

• Monitor alarms in the Building Automation System, initiate work orders, and order materials to make repairs

• Maintain customer system documentation with any configuration or model changes

• Respond to emergency service calls as required

• Design and develop electrical systems and components for building automation solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution

• Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations

• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards

• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools

•5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems, HVAC, or instrumentation

•Experience with the following Building Automation Systems: Siemens, Johnson Controls, Automated Logic, Niagara, or Distech

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
