We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to lead our electrical maintenance teams at the Ampol Refinery in Brisbane, Australia.
At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA to work in this region.

The Role
This position reports directly to the Site Superintendent. Our ideal candidate will be the driving force behind the maintenance teams, ensuring that electrical and instrumentation work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This is an immediate requirement due to changing site demands.

Responsibilities
Leading and supervising electrical teams across multiple disciplinesEnsuring all work aligns with HSE standards and regulatory requirementsTroubleshooting, programming, and modifying electrical systems to meet project KPIsDesigning and implementing work schedules for maximum efficiencyChairing team meetings and liaising with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure manpower needs and a fully kitted team is maintained and managedConducting inspections, assessing work quality, and making modifications where needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in oil & gas, heavy industry, or similar sectorsQLD Electrical Trade License (Electrical Mechanic, Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Instrumentation)Dual Trade Qualification in Electrical/InstrumentationCert III in Instrumentation & Control OR Cert IV in Electrical – InstrumentationWorking knowledge of SAP (desirable)High-voltage switching operations (desirable)Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulationsCompetent with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).AttributesAbility to inspire teams and manage workloadsEffective communicator that can engage with stakeholders effectivelyPrioritizing tasks efficientlyExcellent time management and people skills.Wood encourages Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.If you’re an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, ready to take on your next challenge, we want to hear from you.Apply now and be part of a company that’s shaping the future of energy!
