As a Controls Technician, you will be required to conduct general maintenance inspections, perform routine electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimize downtime. You will also play a role in the installation of new equipment and upgrades for production growth.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Solve and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues on various types of equipment.
• Fix, install and set-up control systems, which would include PLC’s, HMI’s, sensors and other automation equipment.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemans.
• Experience with RSlogix 500 and 5000 and DirectLogic.
• Experience with Allen Bradley HMI’s.
• Knowledge of Trio Motion Control systems a plus
• Work with AC/DC drives, variable frequency drives and motors.
• Routinely inspecting electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
• Identifying faults or hazards and implementing solutions.
• Solving system failures.
• Ability to read and understand electrical wire diagrams.
• Testing of electrical systems with voltmeters, ohmmeters and meggers.
• Conducting maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Providing suggestions for equipment upgrade or replacement.
• Serve as the main point of contact for machine upgrade projects.
• Installation of electrical equipment and fixtures in the building.
• Adhering to safety and performance standards.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Electrician Qualification Certificate.
• 4 years + work experience as an Electrical/Control Technician.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
• Experience with low voltage control, 460/480, 3 phase power.
• Ability to layout, install components, and wire electrical panels.
• Must be reliable and be at work on time.
• Ability to do things on your own and be self-directed.
• Microsoft Office skills
