Kent is looking for a Commissioning System Owner. You will liaise with counterpart PMT, Contractor & SU/Ops discipline leads.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• The System Owner is overall owner & person responsible for their assigned system. This includes ensuring with other SO’s that interfacing systems are available to make the entire system work. This responsibility lasts through commissioning and until system handover to the Start-Up Team.
• Balance and maintain interfaces, work fronts & resources for success of the Project.
• Understand remaining “A” punch items; what is required to complete and help pull these to completion.
• Assist SU & Ops Team with their acceptance, turnover, and start up preparation. Ensure appropriate discipline and multi-function attendance for walkdowns.
• Own quality, the plan and schedule. Review Contractor plans, set and attend meetings, ask the right questions, challenge, observe sub-contract work, stay abreast of and understand the work, the serial and parallel sequences, critical paths, flexibilities, issues/ obstacles, etc.
• Plan, solve, and proactively alert the system team and management to mitigations needed to improve or get back on schedule, compromise where feasible (without adversely impacting safety, functional completeness), progress other work fronts early, etc.
• Agree, approve, sign-off, and ensure adherence to commissioning procedures.
• Maintain vigilance on A & B punch list quality and close out verification, tests and inspections, rundowns, various discipline issues, piping cleanliness, leak tests, equipment tests, PSVs, purging, dry outs, loop & instrument checks, C&E/Function Tests commissioning check sheets, yellow & red-line markup verifications, system owner walkdowns, etc.
• Monitor vendor attendance plan to ensure required on-site attendance when required.
• Assist population of turnover documents for operations completeness, accuracy and on time.
• Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of all system issues, including agreement on any changes, close out verifications, schedule opportunities.
• Ensure appropriate Minimum Facility, Phase1 and 2 isolations are planned, identified, and ready for SU.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad -hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All suchtasks will be assigned consid ering the employee’s current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• College technical diploma and/or equivalent discipline/vocational qualification or 10+ years of relevant and transferable Project/Engineering/Commissioning experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Project Completion standards, specifications, codes and appropriate safety criteria.
• Proven strong technical skills in subject matter.
• Strong understanding of work planning, scheduling and tracking.
• Exposure to Oil Company practices, processes, and expectations with respect to Systems Completion, Preservation, Commissioning and Start Up operations.

Communication:

• Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
• Communicate effectively within a project team and with project management, contractors, and sub -contractors.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

• Demonstrated work ethic with delivery focus with strong organizational ability.
