Clinical Data Engineer is responsible for expanding and optimizing device data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The Data Engineer supports Data Managers, Statisticians, and Data Scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery for ongoing clinical objectives. Must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing our data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives and contributes towards the best practices for cloud-based data analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Improve data quality: Implement methods to improve data reliability and quality.
• Convert raw data: Collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret Clinical data.
• Develop database architecture: Develop and maintain the database architecture and data processing systems.
• Test and maintain data infrastructure: Architect, build, test, and maintain the data infrastructure using cloud-based systems.
• Implements the AI/ML models and assists Data Scientists or Statisticians in model fitting or other optimizations related to data quality.
• Work under guidance: mentor junior Data Engineers in best practices and collaborate on complex problem-solving projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline with 2 years of work experience with ETL, Data Modelling, Data Architecture or Analytics, or a master’s degree with at least 1 year of work experience with ETL, Data Modelling, Data Architecture or Analytics
• Expert-level skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries
• Working knowledge with Big Data technologies such as AWS services, Lambda, Glue, orchestration etc.
• Expert in data wrangling with R, Python and is experience with R Studio Connect app development
• Expert with creating visualizations in Tableau
• Working knowledge in operating very large data warehouses or data lakes such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake etc
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of GCP and SDLC is desired

This job posting is anticipated to close on November 18, 2024, the company may however extend this time-period.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,000 to $121,900. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
