Job Description:
As a Circuit Design Engineer at BW Papersystems, you will apply your technical expertise to analyze and resolve engineering challenges while ensuring manufacturing feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence. This role is integral to the design and enhancement of electrical systems and components for our cutting-edge machinery.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Design, modify, and evaluate moderately complex electrical equipment and systems.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for assigned projects.
• Test and debug electrical equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve equipment defects through systematic troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, assembly, and field service teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into larger systems.
• Maintain accurate project files, drawings, and documentation for products.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for product documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Expertise in digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design, including schematic creation, PCB layout, circuit simulation, and prototype testing/debugging.
• Skilled in advanced hardware and software integration, such as microcontroller/DSP interfacing, FPGA implementation, and applying modern/classical control theory for instrumentation and system design.
