Job Title: BMS Project Engineer

Mission
:

To work and collaborate within a team framework adding your skills, innovations, and ideas to our ever-growing engineering team of project managers, project engineers and commissioning engineers. Proactive customer driven approach, demonstrating full ownership and responsibility for implementing and completing the design and commissioning of projects, incorporating the design, software, graphics, installation and commissioning of building management control systems and third-party integration. Close working with the Project Managers, Engineering Manager, other project engineers, country tendering teams, bringing the opportunity to assist the account and operations managers with additional sales proposals.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure you operate and design with the safety of your work force always being the first concern and focus. Use and promote the expected level of use and control of documents and tools to ensure everyone work in the safest of environments and take responsibility for their own and others safety. Help identify areas knowledge that may need to be filled to ensure safety level do not fall.
• Help to manage resource planning and efficiency to maximise utilisation. Support, coach, and mentor the commissioning team through the successful delivery of projects. Identify specific project engineering issues and help to produce proactive plans to resolve any knowledge or skill gaps.
• Ensure efficiency and best practices are embedded in project delivery process and culture. Take a proactive approach to gaining all information required to progress our works. When required attend site meetings with the customer, contractor, subcontractor, consultant as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with our quality process and drive continuous improvements. Carry out, assist Project Manager Team or be responsible for the Engineering design of BMS and potentially integrated projects, I/O schedules, description of operation, control panel design approval, plant schematics, H & S documentation, O&M documentation to our expected levels of Quality.
• Project business growth and profitability. Design and help PM Team to deliver multiple projects ensuring Engineering and Financial understanding of the projects, assisting with procurement, invoice approval, variation handling, final accounts, and monthly cost to complete reviews. Close liaison with the Project Manager Team, Operations Manager and Commercial team.

Skills and attributes:

• Due to the nature of the role, a background in electrical engineering or related subject is preferable at Degree/HNC level.
• Experience in a similar technical role would be advantageous.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
• Experience in on site commissioning and site experience is preferred.
• Experience in BMS software and graphics is preferred but training is provided on products.
• Experience in our EcoStruxture product or legacy products Sigma, Vista or Continuum is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint,
• Fluent English (Written and Verbal)
• Full driving license

Education

• HND/HNC, degree in engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Some accreditations in HVAC controls, BCIA or CIBSE is advantageous.
