JOB SUMMARY:
The Robotics & Automation Engineer will play a critical role within the AMRT Robotics Team, focusing on the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of robotic and automation systems to support global operations. The role combines technical expertise in industrial robotics with project management, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead theidentification, development, and deploymentof industrial robotic and automation applications.
• Createrobot simulation modelsand performoff-line programmingusing tools like RoboGuide.
• Provide ongoing technical support for robotic systems, includingtroubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance planning.
• Train operators and engineers inrobot programming, preventive maintenance, and best practices.
• Establish globalPM plansduring the industrialization process.
• ApplyLean manufacturing principlesto robotics and automation projects.
• Supportcontinuous improvement initiativesacross manufacturing and service operations.
• Collaborate withsupply chain,productivity, andcomponent engineeringteams to identify automation opportunities.
• Document all technical data and ensure compliance with engineering policies and procedures.
• Track and communicate project status and key developments across stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Bachelor of Science inEngineering,Mathematics, orPhysicsfrom an accredited institution.
Experience:
• Minimum6 yearsof relevant engineering experience with a focus on robotics or automation.
DESIRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS:
• Hands-on experience withrobot operations,sensors,servo systems, andmotion control systems.
• Proficiency inFANUC robot programmingandRoboGuidesimulation.
• Understanding of robotic systems:vision,kinematics, andautomation integration.
• Familiar withCAD,ROS,Linux,Git, andDocker.
• Programming skills inPython,C++, orJava.
• Process knowledge in one or more areas (e.g.,thermal spray coating,welding,machining,surface finishing,sealing).
• Proven experience inproject managementand conductinghands-on system trials.
• Stronganalytical,problem-solving, andcommunicationskills.
• Willingness to travel up to10%of the time.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• Annual Wage Supplement (AWS)– Paid in December
• Variable Bonus (VB)– Paid in April (historically 1.6 months minimum, performance-based)
• Annual salary increment– Based on performance (starting after 1 year of service)
• Company Transport Provided:– Pick-up from designated locations across Singapore before work– Drop-off to major MRT stations after work
