Job Description:

BW Filling and Closing is seeking a detail-orientated and motivatedAssembly Technicianto join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the assembly of precision forming tooling, critical components used in our machinery. A hands-on individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assemble tooling, specifically small forming rolls, according to engineering prints and specifications.
• Able to read and interpret engineering prints, blueprints, or schematics.
• Applies an understanding of decimal measurements and precision tolerances down to 0.0001”.
• Use a hydraulic press to install bearing up shims to achieve proper clearance between bearings.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools including torque wrenches and hydraulic presses.
• Use torque wrenches to tighten components to specified torque values.
• Clean, polish, and apply a protective wax coating to finished parts.
• Perform quality inspections, including checking endplay, to ensure parts meet all specifications.
• Package and prepare finished products for shipping.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Demonstrates excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform precise tasks efficiently.
• Ability to have strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Possess strong visual acuity with the ability to accurately distinguish colors and detect fine details.
• Ability work independently as well as work part of a team.

Basic Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in working in a mechanical assembly role AND/OR manufacturing environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, and have the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
