This is what you are going to do!

Create industrial automation applications compliant with project-technical objectives and design specifications, within schedule deadlines and budget, ensuring quality, safe installation and operation as well as performance in accordance with agreed requirements. As Application Engineer you are the technical focal point for application design from hand-over by sales until project closing.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Analyse, verify, complete and/or translate the User Requirements Specification into a Functional Design Specification ready for customer approval and detailed design.
• In cooperation with project engineer: analyze the work breakdown structure (WBS), complete it and make an optimum sequential execution planning, meeting the agreed specifications, project schedule and technical objectives.
• Make the detailed application design, including interfaces. Safeguard the system integrity, technical quality, safe operation and performance in accordance with requirements. Include the design requirements for a safe and flawless start-up.
• Coordinate and/or realize the configuration of the application compliant with the detailed design ready for internal testing. Prepare for integration in the entire automation system.
• Make technical specifications for procurement and supervise the supplier(s) resulting in timely deliveries compliant with specifications. Direct the suppliers in technical respect.
• Lead and/or execute the internal test of the application, perform FAT readiness tests, resulting in the application ready for FAT or for integration in an entirely integrated automation system.
• Support the project engineer and execute or lead the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), transition to site, site installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) resulting in a handed-over application accepted by the customer with documents authorized by the customer.
• Make sure that the project’s technical objectives are met by monitoring project progress in terms of technical design and implementation, changes, resources, schedule, and budget and by taking immediate corrective action where necessary. Perform strict scope and change control to realize the most efficient execution.
• Formalize the customer’s acceptance of the application and closing of project.

We are looking for a colleague with:

• Technical bachelor level, e.g. Industrial Automation, Electronics, Chemical Technology, with more than 5 years of work experience
• Executes complex engineering activities (e.g. advanced control, batch, complex sequencing) in a PLC +SCADA or DCS system. Creates detailed design and implements applications within multiple systems; technical partner for client/end users.
• Contributes to overall development of system architecture, tooling and/or engineering processes.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Able to communicate with people of all levels
• Quick learner, excellent analytical skills
• Polish language– conversational for business environment (mandatory)
• Good command of English (writing, speaking and technical terminology)
• Ready to work from our office Warsaw, Poland for 3 days/week
