JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Lead Testing Engineer, reporting to Avenza Gate 0 Leader, will be responsible for all the testing technical and fulfillment activities of Avenza LM Service Shop, linked to overhaul of LM25000 (derived from CF6-6) and LM6000 (derived from CF6-80).
The role is intended to be performed on-site and previous Field Services Engineer in Oil & Gas Business will be evaluated as a plus.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Responsibilities
• Support Avenza Shop to manage testing activities performed in Massa, Kollsnes and in other approved test facilities as required
• Review commercial guarantees, test expectations/requirements, and develop performance test procedures
• Analyze data, evaluate test results, diagnose and define corrective actions as needed
• Prepare technical reports for internal and external distribution
• Communicate with internal and external customers regarding testing activities, schedules, and technical issues
• Support continued development and improvement of performance tools/processes
• Participation in Shop Operative Rhythm/reviews to support Avenza Shop according to production needs
• Be a technical reference point for Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis on final assembly and testing processes (Safety, Quality, Lean Production)
• Ensure a smooth introduction of new products/processes within Shop Operations
• Support new service development initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or proven experience operating/testing Aeroderivative Engines
• Previous Field Services Engineer experience, dealing with complex organization in Oil & Gas Business
• Ability to synthesize complex technical information
• Ability to travel in support of global assignments
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Fluency in Italian and English
Desired Characteristics
• Previous knowledge/experience of those engines would be a plus: LM2500, LM6000, LM9000, CF6-6, CF6-80, GE90-115B
• Previous experience as Field Service Engineer
• Ability to work in a very dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Be a Solution-oriented, problem solver
• Previous experience dealing with Customers would be a plus
