As an Advanced Embedded Firmware Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and debugging embedded firmware. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure the efficient and timely completion of firmware projects. You’ll be part of the global product development team, that performs Firmware development release on Fire Alarm control panels and devices. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the activities to release end-user solutions to the customer. There will be opportunities to learn new technologies, which is encouraged.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of firmware projects.
• Conduct code reviews and implement testing procedures.

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 4+ years of experience in design and development of embedded firmware solutions in a multi-disciplinary system that includes hardware, firmware, and communication protocols (wired or wireless).
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong sense of ownership and drive; someone who is self-motivated and can work with little supervision, who consistently takes the initiative to get things done.
• Good analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the drive to learn.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++
• Proficiency in Embedded Linux
WE VALUE
• Experience working with ARM, AVR, etc architectures is a plus.
• Experience working with ARM Cortex M4/M7/A9 is a plus.
• Experience working with SOC or multi-processor SOC architectures is a strong plus.
• Knowledge in Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Knowledge in DevSecOps to integrate CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bamboo).
