It is an exciting time within Wood Commissioning Services and we are gearing up for a busy year ahead. We are looking for experienced Electrical Commissioning Technicians for upcoming onshore and offshore projects across the UK and Europe.

The Role:

You will be required to execute the electrical pre-commissioning / commissioning workscope in a safe manner and in accordance with contract specifications / requirements and schedule
Provide support to the Senior Electrical Technician / Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Support the commissioning team to function-test the electrical system in accordance with project technical procedures

Responsibilities

Read, understand and implement all applicable project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the electrical team’s work scope is completed safely and to a high standard
Provide support to other departments where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team
Under safe systems of work, function testing of electrical plant and equipment in both onshore and offshore locations
Perform the work in accordance with the specified safety standards / project requirements / work packs
Support the commissioning team to function-test the Electrical system in accordance with project technical procedures
Function test and repair electrical equipment and systems in accordance with electrical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning procedures
“Red line” project drawings and procedures with any changes made/noted during testing
Review construction documentation prior to executing commissioning activities
Complete where applicable associated pre-commissioning / commissioning certification in accordance with the requirements of the project Completions Management System and associated procedures
Attendance of FAT’s where required including review / acceptance of applicable technical documentation
Ensure all activities are implemented in a safe manner and in accordance with the project PTW system
Liaise with support vendors as required

Qualifications

What makes you remarkable?
Expected:

Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship 
Technical qualification with applicable electrical background – ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering preferred or BTEC / C&G (or equivalent) etc
BOSIET / MIST / CA- EBS / Shoulder Measurements / OGUK Medical 
CompEx modules EX01-EX04
Company Mandatory Training (Induction, Risk Assessment etc)
IT Literate (Excel / Word / PowerPoint) 
ISSOW
HV / LV Switching

Desirable: 

HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related subject an advantage
