Junior Software Engineer

We are currently looking for a new team member –JuniorSoftware Engineer- to become part of the Aerospace division, Military Avionics COE group in Brno. Our team is focused on defense Alternative Navigation means, Inertial Navigation products, defense software applications, and direct support of EMEA customers. This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform embedded / application software (e.g. C, C++, C#, Python):
• Requirements and architecture modification / creation
• Code development, modification/creation (includes debugging and troubleshooting)
• Development test cases/procedures, and test environments setup
• Documentation creation
• Ensure assigned technical tasks are completed on-time and within given requirements
• Actively identify new technological opportunities that will help achieve incremental or step change improvements
• Participate in project planning phase, provide estimates and report status

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• Experience with embedded / application software development (e.g. C, C++, C#, Python) and design / test automation
• Ability to communicate in English language – B2 to C1

We Value

• Knowledge of software development processes and best practices is a plus
• Experience with project planning and effort estimation is a plus
• Experience with certification is a plus
• Knowledge of commercial airborne standards including RTCA DO-178B is a plus
• Knowledge of software design tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect) is a plus
• Knowledge of software configuration management tools (e.g. ClearCase, SVN, Git) is a plus
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) is a plus
• Knowledge of change management tools (e.g. ClearQuest) is a plus
• Knowledge of test management tools (e.g. TestLink) is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and analytical ability
• Self – starter, motivated to take initiative and able to work – independently
• Extremely reliable, trustworthy, with highest ethical standards
• Excellent communications skills
• Team player
• Interested to work in fast paced, global business environment
