Job Description:
• Design and implement controls and functions adhering to industry and company standards, from order to shipment.
• Create and/or update panel layouts, wiring schematics, pneumatic controls, and Bills of Materials to optimize machine performance and meet project requirements.
• Develop logic systems for functions such as sequence and timing control.
• Create and/or modify PLC, motion, and HMI applications to control and monitor machine operations, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of each project.
• Commission and debug machines to ensure safety and validate machine performance.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of equipment by completing and filing all necessary paperwork upon finalization and shipment.
• Assist in the creation of validation documents (FDS, FAT, IQOQ) and technical specifications as well as Operator Manuals.
• Oversee and assist the Manufacturing team on proper wiring and controls installation and assembly as well as testing and troubleshooting of machines.
• Provide guidance to the Service team during installation, service, or field support.
• Directly interface and communicate with customers in a professional manner on project status, updates, issues, timelines, etc.
• Work collaboratively with the team to identify, analyze, and resolve technical and operational issues to improve efficiency and quality.
• Actively research and explore new technologies, products, and applications to stay ahead of industry trends and maintain a competitive edge.
• Help build and maintain electrical engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
• 3 year Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from a recognized college or university or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience designing electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
• 2+ years of experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs from scratch.
• Knowledge of NEC and UL standards.
• Proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Euro standards, CE, and IEC drawing formats.
• Experience with servo programming using Allen Bradley Kinetix platform.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical software.
• Experience in the packaging or converting industries.
The approximate pay range for this position is $70-85k per year. Please note that the pay rangeprovidedis a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
