Wood is presently looking to hire a Senior Electrical Designer (SPI / 3D) for ADNOC Offshore Central Engineering Division in Abu Dhabi. Below are more details about the position.

Responsibilities

3D Software skills like SPI, 3D softwareExecute design and draughting activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study and Detailed Design)Prepare sketches, Electrical drawings, and designs from agreed work scopes with minimum input from engineering personnelAchieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contractResponsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performanceCarry out site surveysEnsure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and scheduleMaintain required technical quality of workKeep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to discipline work scopeMaintain filing systemEncourage and provide lateral learning within projectProvide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as requiredAssist Lead / Senior Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 15+ years of experience Sound knowledge of manual and CAD draughting techniquesSoftware skills like AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION, etc is mandatory3D Software skills like SPI, 3D is mandatoryAware of and able to use codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation as applicable to draughting functionAware of and able to use COMPANY and CLIENT standardsAble to create base design drawings / models from agreed work scope with minimal guidanceComputer literate (database / spreadsheets)Ability to accept delegated responsibility for designated tasksExperience in acting as a focal point / Self checking / checking of others work
