Cadence Technologies is seeking exceptional candidates who thrive in fast paced work environments, managing inventory, and shipping/receiving for a distribution business that supplies world class manufacturing companies sanitary process components for the food & beverage industries. Team members must be organized, detail oriented, able to work with others as a team, demonstrate strong character and work ethic.

What You’ll Do

The Field Service Specialist is responsible for providing on-site service needs for the Cadence distribution business, such as sanitation (cleaning), valve rebuilds, pump rebuilds, homogenizer services, and scraped surface heat exchanger services. As well as provide on-site startup support for design group projects and process installations to ensure proper installation and smooth startup of newly installed equipment. In between service calls, provide shipping and receiving support for the Cadence business including verifying incoming shipments of materials for projects, open orders and stocking inventory. Schedule and package shipments of finished projects and open orders to maintain customer commitments. Maintain the flow of the inventory in and out of the warehouse.

• Work with other Cadence team members to perform on-site valve rebuilds and positive displacement pump rebuilds on projects.
• Provide support for other on-site services such as homogenizers and scrape surface heat exchangers, as needed, to support the growth of the Cadence business and its customer’s needs.
• Performing unpacking of shipment deliveries
• Performing a three-way match of packing list to the parts received and the purchase order.
• Process inventory replenishment orders, in a timely manner, to ensure they are received and stored in the proper warehouse location.
• Execute cycle counts to ensure the integrity of inventory levels reflected in the system.
• Managing shipment requirements, such as “ship complete”, “freight collect”, “partial shipments”, etc.
• Schedule trucks for LTL and dedicated Truckload shipments of projects to maintain project deadlines.
• Prepare large equipment shipments of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc for shipment by building crates and frames to protect the product during shipping.
• Process pick tickets for process components (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc) and parts (gaskets, o-rings, bearings, seals, springs, etc) pulled from inventory warehouse
• Package and ship parts orders to fulfill orders generated by the inside sales team.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, perform parts catalog updates, filing documentation, archiving documents, etc. as needed to support the day-to-day operations of the business.

What You’ll Bring

• Must have experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanics and mechanically inclined.
• Must have experience in maintenance tasks, such as tear downs and reassembly.
• Must be detailed oriented with a passion for quality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced schedule driven work environment.
• Must be hard working, self-motivated and focused with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Ability to read manuals and retain information on various equipment.
• Required to work overtime and weekends when needed to support business needs.
• Ability to learn various business processes and procedures.
• Enjoys working closely with others.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Must label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications.
• Inspect and unload delivery vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willing to travel and work holidays and weekends.

Education and Experience

• High school or GED; Associate’s or Technical Diploma is a plus.
• Experience with tools, machinery, and mechanics.
• Relevant industry knowledge is a plus.

Travel

• Willing to work most holidays and weekends.
• Estimated travel 50%, both regional and national
